I have often found myself yearning for the moments I only feel when on vacation or surrounded by the holiday spirit. It’s in these times that I feel most connected to the people around me, the most connected to the natural world, and the place I feel most present.

I started Bird and Babe as a sanctuary—a place of calm. The kind of peace I associate with ‘the lake life’ – the moments I share with family and friends, sitting in the stillness of an evening in the warm summer air. Bird and Babe wants to imagine a place not bound by time, where moments feel real and unforced, and where colour speaks in place of words. 

At the start of this journey, I applied my designs to gift wrap. I imagined the warmth and joy it would inspire on so many happy occasions. After witnessing the success of this range, I sought after my other great comforts: summer, and the sea. I now want to share with you a broader range of products which I designed to remind me of all the things I love, all of which I would be proud to own. 

And of course, none of this is possible without my little ‘babe’.
